Amulet Films was the executive producer of a documentary “Wróblewski according to Wajda ” created in 2015.
The project was realized for the Adam Mickiewicz Institute in Warsaw, with the cooperation of Andrzej Wróblewski Foundation and the Manggha Museum in Cracow.
„Wróblewski according to Wajda” is a personal view of Andrzej Wajda’s observations and feelings towards the paintings of his friend, Andrzej Wróblewski. Mr Wajda draws a story of the times in which they lived, about the influence that Wróblewski’s art had on his own personal and artistic choices.
Andrzej Wajda sais: „ While I was coming back to Wróblewski’s artwork and I was observing how the opinions about his work change, I came up with an idea for an exhibition that would restore this artists true place in the world of Polish painting.[…] For me, Wróblewski is something more.[…] The moment when I first saw Wróblewski’s “1st Execution”, it was probably the most important moment in my life. Maybe that was the moment when I decided to give up painting to search for a different path for myself”. (from the press materials of Manggha Musem)
